2017 Mosquito Season Summary
The 2017 mosquito season, for the Town was more active compared to 2016, but still calmer than the surrounding areas. We had five traps return positive mosquitos and two human cases reported. Zika made its way into the headlines and we also had zero traveler related cases of Zika. Environmental Health Services is compiling the data from the 2017 season into a comprehensive summary which will be posted soon. Please click on the following link to view the 2016 mosquito summary.
2016 Mosquito Summary
Preparations for the 2018 mosquito season are fast underway. Environmental Services has implemented several upgrades and enhancements to the mosquito program in order to better serve the citizens of the Town. Citizens are encouraged to continue to follow the Mosquito Webpage as well as the Town News Feed and Social Media links for up to date events and activity.
Click here for a helpful flyer for what you can do on your personal property to help minimize the presence of mosquitoes and exposure to West Nile virus. While the Town conducts an integrated approach to mosquito control, it is important that citizens observe their own property to help control mosquitoes.
