Celebrate National Senior Citizen Day, August 21

Eclipse NEWSFLASH

Celebrate National Senior Citizen Day at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 21, at the Flower Mound Senior Center with a Solar Eclipse Patio Party, which also happens to be the day when a total solar eclipse is predicted to occur. A solar eclipse happens when the moon passes between the sun and Earth, blocking all or part of the sun. The last time the U.S. saw a total eclipse was 1979. Attendees can enjoy live music, dancing, an ice cream sundae bar, and receive special glasses to view the eclipse. This free event is open to everyone, not just senior citizens or Seniors In Motion members. The Senior Center is located at 2701 West Windsor Drive.

Please RSVP by Thursday, August 17 by visiting the Senior Center Courtesy Desk, or by calling 972.874.6110.
